Connect Claude
Do this on a computer, in a web browser. The Claude phone app can’t add connectors — but once it’s added, it works in the phone app too.
Before you begin
What it can do: read and change your trips, saved places and collections — your whole Finding Horizons account, not one trip. It can’t see your password or payment details.
Who processes it: what Claude reads goes to the company that runs Claude, under its terms, and uses your plan with them. On the Finding Horizons side, connecting is part of Horizons Plus and Nomad.
Disconnect or rotate any time: on the Connect page, or in the app: Profile → Connect your AI → Connected apps. Rotate makes a new link and stops the old one — do it if your link was pasted somewhere it shouldn’t be, or a device with it was lost. Disconnecting stops future access; it does not erase what Claude has already kept.
How it connects
Claude is given the Finding Horizons address and signs you in: you sign in once and approve. Claude keeps that connection in its own secure store and renews it on its own — no key to paste again. We haven’t seen it finish with Claude yet; if signing in fails, the steps also give you a private link.
Copy this address
Finding Horizons server addresshttps://www.findinghorizons.ca/api/mcp
No key needed — Claude signs you in. Keep this page open; you’ll come back to it at the end.
Open Claude’s connectors in a new tab and sign in
Open Claude connectors ↗You’ll see: a page called Connectors. (If you’re lost: click Customize, then Connectors.)
Click + Add, then Add custom connector
You’ll see: a small form.
On the free plan you can have one custom connector. If you already have one, remove it first or use another assistant.
Fill in the form, then click Add
Name: Finding Horizons
Remote MCP server URL: paste the address (Ctrl+V, or ⌘V on a Mac).
Leave Advanced settings (client ID and secret) empty — Claude registers itself.
Click Connect, sign in to Finding Horizons, then click Approve
A Finding Horizons page opens. Sign in with the same account you use in the app and approve. Claude keeps the connection — nothing to paste again.
You’ll see: Finding Horizons in your connectors list, connected.
Only if signing in fails: use your private link instead
Remove the connector, add it again with this link as the URL, and choose No sign in if asked. Tell us it failed — we haven’t seen Claude’s sign-in finish with us yet.
Switch it on in a chat
Start a new chat. Click the + (bottom left of the message box) → Connectors → turn on Finding Horizons.
It now works in the Claude phone app too, on the same account.
Check it worked
Ask Claude: “What have I saved in Finding Horizons?” It should list your places.
Then open Connected to your account: Claude is listed there with last used and today’s date (if you used a private link, the link says it). If it still says “not used yet”, Claude hasn’t reached Finding Horizons — go back one step.
Claude’s menus change. Checked 10 October 2026; if yours looks different, see Anthropic’s help page.
